New post.

There are a number of things I thought I should bring to your attention. Rather than slip these links in to my future posts all clever like, today I'll play it straight:

There is a group of people who have been sitting around for eighty years waiting for pitch to drop.

This, and a few of the other videos like it, are good for a cheap laugh (Look for pork chop sandwiches).

Finally, a horrifying video for all the Shakira fans out there (cause I know you all are).

I'm lacking in creativity and inspiration right now, so don't expect much from me anytime soon.

Mountains.

For anyone who was wondering why I would ever dream of moving all the way out to Boulder, Colorado, perhaps this panorama taken less than a mile from where I'll be living will give you hint. Keep in mind the closest thing I saw to a mountain was, until recently, the pile of mulch in my driveway.

One Step Closer.

As the main purpose of this blob is to talk about what I'm up to out in Colorado, I figure I owe it to my two readers to actually mention a bit about my rapidly nearing big move. I succeeded in finding a place to live, and although the accommodations appear to be meager at best, the apartment is within one mile of the three important destinations in Boulder (as far as I'm concerned), the bars, the library, and the school.

(22nd Street - Matrix Real Estate)

There seem to be plenty of windows in the building pictured, however I have no assurance that my own apartment will have them (should I have asked that before I signed the lease?). In all fairness it's a decent rent for a single in Colorado, and most importantly it will shelter me from the elements upon my August 1st arrival. Next thing to worry about? Finding furniture.

What was that like two hours?

Congratulations Anonymous reader, you have won the contest! Clearly You know my blob better than I do.

Your prize is my foot up your ass. Redeemable at the local branch of your mom.

I know I've linked this before, but it had to be said.

You know what!?

To those of you who have typecast me as some sort of soup-obsessed glutton, I invite you to try and find a single mention in this blob of the word soup, or even bowl for that manner (ignore those within this post, and any comments by certain [the only two] readers)!

I do this not to so much to be a douchebag (although I often play the role well) but more so to express my moral outrage for being defined by the one joke story of mine that caught on in the Classics department.

Am I a one-trick pony?

Note: While proofreading this entry I found that blogger's own JavaScript spell-checker did not know the word blog. It did have blob though, so I figure that's close enough.

Selling my soul: Part I

As any perseptive reader can see, my blog is now chock full of ads. In a fit of boredom I experimented with blogger's connections to Google Adsense, resulting in my selling my soul to capitalism. In my defense, I'm about to become exceedingly poor over my graduate career, and the idea of getting paid simply by having the occasional viewer click on an ad was just too daunting. If the sight of these ads cause you pain, as they often do to me, I'll forgive you if you Adblock them. But, on the off chance you see a product that interests you, those ad links are more or less a charity to my bank account. (To avoid any trouble with Google, I feel inclined to say that I offer no incentives to viewing any ads.)

I am a consumer whore. But at least I'm not as bad as this person.

The End of an Era.

Today, I graduated.

Damn straight!

And as my undergraduate years draw to a close I look back again at the bittersweet memories. Four years of (pardon the cliché) sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll have slipped away between my fingers. It was a time riddled with indecision, lust, aggravation, heartbreak, rage, longing, and grief. I promised myself I would keep this blog as emo-free as possible so I'll limit my cheesy words.

(Class of 1956 - May 2006)

I apologize for the black and white photo, it just looked less out of focus that way. Thus begins the countdown to egress. Time to start settling my affairs in Maryland. Eek.

Because I'm Sure You Care

I went out and took a bunch of pictures today, so I'll have quite a few more entries soon.

Don't cry about it, just be patient and entertain yourself.

Wasting time...

In lieu of studying, I opted to finish setting-up this blog completely. Now all that remains is to wait for someone to visit and post... any day now.... it could happen...

Boulder, Colorado.

It seems pretty likely now that I'll be moving there so I decided to make this blog for anyone who dares to care what I'm up to halfway across the country.

(Eaton Humanities - March 2006)

Today I filled out my enrollment conformation form, so as soon as I get $200 I'll probably send her off to save my seat at UCB. But for now.. I gotta worry about finals.
